1969 Pontiac GTO

This 1969 Pontiac GTO convertible was acquired by the seller in October 1979 from the reported original owner. It is powered by a 461ci V8 paired with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. The car has undergone extensive refurbishment, including rust repair, body and chassis refinishing, engine, transmission, carburetor, and rear differential rebuilds, as well as replacement of brake, convertible top, interior, and exterior components.
Finished in red over parchment vinyl, the GTO features a power-operated white convertible top, power steering, power front disc brakes, 14" Rally II wheels, a center console, rear seat speaker, and push-button radio. The cabin includes front bucket seats, rear bench, faux woodgrain trim, heater/defroster, and retractable front lap belts.
The 461ci V8 was rebuilt and overbored in 2005, fitted with a COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft, billet timing set, reverse dome pistons, and ported intake and heads. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the TH400 automatic and 3.55:1 limited-slip differential. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, with approximately 70k added under current ownership.
Exterior highlights include a body-colored Endura front bumper, chrome rear bumper, faux hood scoops, bright wheel arch and rocker trim, and a full-size spare. The 14" Rally II wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Recent work reportedly included refurbishing the wiper motor, replacing the convertible top hydraulic rams and lines, and servicing the brakes.
